The General Stores, Forest of Dean

This is a tried-and-tested hen do venue, with about half of the General Store’s bookings coming from hen parties. The property is in the Forest of Dean, in the beautiful Cotswolds, with plenty of scenic walks and charming pubs to be enjoyed. This turn-of-the-century house was previously a sweet shop, which is reflected in the home’s cute, quirky, vintage and feminine décor. The property is uniquely and thoughtfully designed, with an original mix of trendy fifties florals, antique French chandeliers, reclaimed wood, crystal lamps and more.   Located in Brighton, with its wonderful selection of bars, restaurants, shops, cafes, nightclubs and activities for any party, The Sweet Shop is a great place to send off the bride in style. With four double bedrooms, the house can accommodate groups of up to 14 with the use of sofa beds.

One bride-to-be who had her hen at the property commented, “I cannot praise this beautiful townhouse enough! From the regal decor to the location, everything was on-hand to add to our weekend. It was so important to us to have all our girls together in one place and this spacious house allowed us to do that. The kitchen (the most important room to me!) was kitted out and allowed us to have breakfast, takeaways and cocktails together. We didn’t feel crowded yet it was cosy enough to be comfortable.  I would definitely recommend it!”
