We are a quarterly publication promoting the best suppliers across Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire. We love to feature what is new, what is unique, mixed with the traditional. We are romantics here and nothing makes us smile more than a love story, so we always get excited over our Featured Brides.
We continuously update our blog, so if a supplier has something they want to shout about, just let us know, and we will get it online for you.
We are a small team, and do not pretend to be anything else. Small packs a mighty punch, and we are not here for UK domination. Brides want to source local suppliers, and that is what we give them. We cover the Home Counties and are happy doing so. Featuring some of the best venues across these counties, and fabulous, lovely suppliers. You will see venues from around the UK, this is giving our readers choice if they wish to marry in a different part of our amazing country.
We have amazing competitions! We just love giving our readers that little bit extra. Fabulous weekends away, lingerie, jewellery, supplier discounts, it is all about the bridal party, and how we can help them achieve the special day they want.

Meet the team (WARNING – PROCEED WITH CAUTION) – Tina Reading, Editor xxx
Tina is the editor, tea maker, educated muse. Often found wearing strange outfits, dated, which she thinks are ‘retro’! Loves her work, her family and her life.
A background in marketing, PR and general bossiness, Tina came to publishing 4 years ago. After 3 years on lifestyle magazines, she needed a change. With solid links to the wedding industry, it seemed her destiny was sealed.
UWM is the brainchild of Tina and Ricky, our Creative Director. An unusual combination, but one that works! Tina says ‘ I love the wedding business, everyone is so friendly and helpful. We are always looking for the unusual and different, happy to feature ‘the alternative’.
We maybe a young magazine, but we have legs, we are working hard to ensure our success and constantly provide informative articles for brides, whilst bring value to suppliers.’
One thing you should know about Tina, her nickname is Yoda, she thinks this is because she is wise, we don’t have the heart to tell her it is because she is old and wrinkly!
Ricky is the youngest of the UWM family and in charge of all things creative. Always found busy designing the magazine or tweeting away.
Previously studying Interactive Media at College in London, coming straight out of that into becoming a freelance graphic designer, while many of his friends continued their studies at University. Ricky has worked with many different businesses from lifestyle magazines to local printers. Always looking for the latest design trend and creating something even better.
Ricky has always loved publishing ever since he had work experience at a publishers back in 2007. Working in the wedding industry is exciting and always fun! There is never a dull day in the office (unless Tina hasn’t made tea).
Katy has over 16 years under her belt in the make-up industry, having been lucky enough to forge a career our of doing something she loves!
From working the counters in the beauty halls to travelling the world as an international make-up artist and trainer, Katy has a plethora of experience in all aspects of artistry. The years of London, Paris and New York fashion week are far behind her and her entire focus now is on Bridal and Wedding make-up. Whether that be creating a photographic make-up for the top Bridal Jewellery and Dress designers for their latest campaign, or doing the same for a nervous bride on the morning of her big day, her goal is always the same. To make people beautiful!
Along side her artistry, Katy is on demand for her snippets of knowledge and opinions within the Beauty Journalism world. A true product junkie, Katy has never lost the thrill of trying out a new texture or sourcing the very best for her clients.
Adding the role of Beauty Editor to her also new title of Mummy to her dear daughter has made Katy not only extremely busy, but also very proud.
Sarah is the director of Timeless Inspirations, Wedding Planner, Venue Stylist, receptionist, accountant and anything else that you can possibly think of!
Having always loved everything to do with weddings, from reading about them to watching them on tv, and usually found with a piece of ribbon or sparkles in hand creating the next big thing!
Despite all this, her biggest love of all is her kids – her inspiration, and biggest achievement to date! I could not bear the thought of going back into the number crunching, mundane boring world – the world of payroll!
Since then now a professional, qualified wedding and event planner with a flair for anything girly! I was looking for a challenge and I certainly found it. I am really lucky that I have two jobs that i love – how many people can say that?
Sarah has been working closely with UWM in relation to promoting the publication at her wedding shows across Herts, and between TI and UWM we have some huge exciting ideas for the future!
We feel blessed that we have met some amazing people and friends along the way!
With extensive knowledge of Asian weddings (having been to probably over 50 weddings in my 24 years!), I am what you could call a seasoned pro! Asian weddings really are something else; the celebrations, food, entertainment, guests… it’s all done on a grand scale! I have a commercial background in supplier management and am a graduate in International Business, needless to say my other passion, aside from weddings, is to travel to all corners of the world with my darling fiance (husband from July 2014!). Due to my love of organising and all things wedding related, I recently started up my own wedding planning business, Weddings by Shradha. I am passionate about creating a truly unique wedding day for all of my lovely couples, and their guests, to cherish forever.
